Regatta Inn sits on Sunset Cay Marina on the Folly River at the west end of the island, which makes it one of the best places on Folly to watch the sun go down. It opened in 2014 with ten king suites and was named one of the South’s best new hotels by Southern Living. A Charleston hospitality group bought it in 2024 and kept it running as an adults-only inn.
Suites have gas fireplaces and screened porches or balconies, breakfast is included, and there’s a complimentary evening happy hour on the Sunset Terrace. Beach cruisers and a golf-cart shuttle get you to the beach, and the marsh out front is busy with dolphins, pelicans and boats coming in for the night.
