Folly Beach Porchfest

Every fall, Folly Beach turns its front porches into stages. Porchfest is a free, homegrown music festival where local bands play from porches and backyards across the island’s neighborhoods, and the whole town wanders from one to the next.

What to Expect

Music runs from midday into the evening, with local musicians playing sets on porches and in yards around the island. Grab a schedule, pick a few porches and stroll or bike between them. When the porch sets wrap up, the party moves to local bars and music spots like Chico Feo for after-parties.

Tips for Porchfest

• Walk or bike if you can. Neighborhood streets fill up fast, and parking rules are enforced.
• Remember that the stages are people’s homes. Stay off lawns and gardens unless you’re invited, and take your trash with you.
• Bring a chair or blanket, sunscreen and water.
