folly beach vacation homes

Ladies, if you’re looking for a girl’s night out in Charleston while you stay on Folly Beach you’re in luck. Charleston is a top wedding and bachelorette destination for a reason: fun activities geared toward women abound from art and music to shopping or just relaxing on the rooftop with a glass of wine or your favorite cocktail.

Gibbes Museum of Art: As is evidenced by its many galleries and art walks, Charleston boasts a thriving art scene, and the Gibbes Museum of Art is a great place to see a sampling if you are only here for a short time. In addition to featuring several artists with local ties, they often hold special talks or events for both members and non-museum members. Make sure to visit their website before you plan a trip and see if an event coincides with your stay.

Shopping on Historic King Street: King Street is host to a number of boutique shops from local stores to the premier national brands. The U.S. News and World Report even named King Street one of its “Top Ten Shopping Streets.” Depending on which part of the district you decide to walk through, you can find fashion, antiques or dining and bar options. If your group really wants to pamper yourselves, you can always make a reservation in advance at the Spa at Belmond Charleston Place

The Rooftop Bar at The Vendue: Who doesn’t love rooftop bars? This particular venue at Vendue Street is a Charleston institution and a great place to experience beautiful views of the Holy City, whether the Ravenel Bridge lit up at night or the towering spires of its historic churches. Enjoy the scenery while sipping on a cocktail or a glass of wine and make the most of your vacation.

Charleston Music Hall: The Charleston Music Hall is an intimate setting to catch a concert or an event that is centrally located in the Upper King District of the city. It is surrounded by a variety of dining and bar options where you can keep the party going after a show. Make sure to check their music schedule online and see if there is concert of interest that synchs up with your visit.
