Located at the entrance of the Folly Beach Pier, Koko’s on the Pier is a tropical restaurant and tiki bar that opened in March 2026, replacing the longtime favorite Pier 101. From the team behind Tides Folly Beach, Koko’s blends a playful “Follynesian” concept with the same panoramic Atlantic Ocean views and laid-back pier-side setting locals and visitors have long loved.

Atmosphere & Experience

The setting draws on vintage tiki-lounge inspiration, a nod to Kokomo’s Lounge, a 1950s-era watering hole once popular with servicemen visiting Folly Beach, reworked into what staff call a “Follynesian” experience: part beach bar, part tiki hideaway, part family restaurant. Indoor and outdoor seating and regular live music, from steel pan players to music bingo nights, round out the vibe.
