Folly Beach enjoyed near 80 degree temperatures on Saturday for the annual tree lighting, but as afternoon showers moved in, the temperatures began to drop.
When we arrived at Folly River Park, we were the only people in sight. The wind and the 50 degree weather didn’t make for an inviting Folly Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, but the tight knit community has several small businesses that sponsored some gnarly, bright lighting displays.
Be sure to stop by the park to check out the Folly Beach Christmas Tree along with lighting displays of a surfing Santa, some reindeer, and elves. No matter what the temperature, these lights will surely get you into the holiday spirit.
