The Actors’ Theatre of South
Carolina was founded in 1994 by theatre, film and TV veterans, Clarence Felder and Chris
Weatherhead. The company moved its headquarters to Charleston in 2000. One of the few
professional theatres between Charleston and Atlanta, their highly acclaimed productions
were chosen for participation in Piccolo Spoleto Theatre Festival in 1997, 1998, 2002 and
2004. The Actors’ Theatre
is working with The City of Folly Beach and the Folly Beach Arts and Crafts Guild to
create the Folly Beach Fine Arts Community Center which is slated to open in 2005.
